Tenant Blacklisting

If you're a tenant that is named as a respondent (defendant) in a New York City Housing Court case, your name will appear on the dreaded “tenant blacklist.”  Tenant Screening Bureaus across the country use housing court data to create screening tools for landlords / property management companies. Unfortunately, if your name appears on the tenant blacklist, your rental application may be rejected, regardless of whether you won your case or whether you were sued by mistake.

If you find yourself on the tenant blacklist, we can help! Our office has worked toward eradicating the blacklist since 2005. We have years of experience helping our clients get their records expunged from the databases of tenant screening bureaus. Contact us for more information about this critical service that we provide.
