Rachel Nager is a Senior Associate at Rozen Law Group. Before joining the team, she was a Senior Staff Attorney at Communities Resist (CoRe). While most of her work has been fighting gentrification and displacement by taking legal action against unscrupulous landlords on behalf of organized tenants, she also defends individual tenants in eviction proceedings, often brought in retaliation against the tenant organizing. She participates with community coalitions and city-wide task forces to advocate for housing standards and maintenance. She has presented talks or led workshops for the public, including at the 2017 annual conference of National Legal Aid and Defenders Association (NLADA). Rachel is a member of the New York City Bar Association Housing Court Committee and spearheaded the Committee's podcast Housing Part Proceedings and the Reality of Housing Court.
